A Look Of Class

Postby Primordial » Mon Apr 14, 2008 10:44 pm

I was reading back through the posts here, and I can learn a great deal. But one thing I think I already see, but want to learn more about, is the Look Of Class.

I think there are certain horses that have certain attitudes. As well as an air about the individual.

A look of Class.

Something that sets them apart from all others.

I think it is there, even if the horse in question does not win every race it runs in.

There is an air...

Opinions?

You'll know it when you see it, it's like being in the presence of a great person.

My mare, Nottingham Lace. She wasn't a BIG winner, but won 3 in Tampa back in her day. She is 24 now, and still very much a tall, elegant, refined and classy LADY.

Or Citation. I would call it charisma.

I too would go with Ruffian, but I also have to say The Bid. My favorite pic of him (aside from everything Barbara Livingston has done) is this pencil sketch. I think it truly capures that elusive look of eagles.

Thanks for the examples! Love that drawing of Spectacular Bid. One of my favorite stallions.

I don't seem to be smart enough to use the tags for this link, so you will have to copy and paste.

I don't see the class I am looking for in a great deal of horses... but then I am very picky. I must say that my stallion just takes my breath away!

Man O' War had it in spades. So did Secretariat.

PRIM- I WANT SMOOTH REBEL CAUSE!!! Beautiful color on him, and your Arabs are Very nice as well. I had a grand daughter of Bask and The Chief Justice who began my Arabian-love. She threw me a bay/white tobiano filly with 2 blue eyes.. Halter champ by 4 months! Would have loved to hook your boy up with her.. What color!
