Transporter recommendations VA to NW FL (or AL)??

Is anyone familiar with good transporters who would make this route? It's off the beaten track, we are under AL and nowhere near Ocala.

I used http://www.uship.com to ship my horse from PA to MS - it cost $ 800 for door to door service. It’s kinda like eBay...you place your shipment needs and transporters bid on the job - you select from the bidders based on price, timing, previous feedback, etc..

Hi Summerhorse, my friend is leaving Michigan, headed south to FL and is looking to pick up some horses on the way down, and back up. She also uses U-ship, so she might actually bid on your shipment.

I have used U-ship, and the only reason I didn't like it is b/c they are a little sneaky. You have to pay a deposit when you accept someones bid. That bid goes to Uship and not the shipper like you would think. I had a mare shipped from GA to MI. They bid $500 to me, yet they only recieved $450 of it.

My friends email is [email protected], and her number is 810-300-4811. Her username on uship is MCperformancehorses, and you can request her to bid on your shipment if you like.
