I just read the part about "mucking stalls with their bare hands"... I hope this is a "serious" reality show, and not one where they make them do stupid things throughout... guess I'll just have to watch tonight!

Trust me, folks who don't understand the horse world will settle for nothing less than seeing these people act as stupidly as possible. Otherwise, they won't watch.

It's sad...but true.

Yeah, I know... it's why I can't stand watching Fear Factor (eating gross stuff, which to me has nothing to do with fear– just proves you'll do anything for money!). And I cringed when they had the one with the "fake" millionaire boss who made them fix a fax machine while hitting them with paintballs... ugh... change the channel...

And I REALLY hope there isn't the usual snivelling and petty disagreements between contestants... but I'm sure there will be...

If anything, the entertaining part for me will be watching the horses... you can't count on them to "play along"!

Yeah, I hope some of these folks have a clue what they are in for...

If you look at the profiles on the people, some of them appear to be novice at best, so I think we will see the offbeat things done.[/quote]

I watched the first 2 episodes last night. I was a little disappointed, entertained, but disappointed. I was hoping for an "Apprentice" style reality where the contestants did tasks that actually had something to do with the horse industry. Finding mares, making stallion season deals, getting horses ready for a sale, working an auction, etc. etc. Stuff where I could actually get an insiders look at the industry. But, unfortunately they have to do silly tasks like sprinting or putting manure in a bucket, or bobbing for name tags.

The best part was listening to them talk about handicapping the horses, and watching the races. Other than that the show is kinda crappy. But, I'll still watch it because I love the horse industry.

Somebody once told me this game is an addiction...and they were right :)

Here are the Conduit Profiles for the horses.

1) Regal Cruiser: 6-3-4-9-1 (9/10) 1.27

2) Sharp As A Fox: 6-4-2-5-11 (10/16) 0.62

3) Archie's Dream: 7-6-4-6-1 (13/7) 2.00

4) Free To Please: 8-3-7-3-6 (11/9) 1.18

5) Ready To Flirt: 5-5-3-4-6 (10/10) 0.95

6) Avenue Of Knowledge: 7-3-4-5-8 (10/13) 0.84

7) Kool Smoke: 11-3-8-2-4 (14/6) 1.67

8) Triumphal Entry: 3-5-5-5-7 (8/12) 0.67

9) Nukidd: 7-7-4-8-2 (14/10) 1.39

10) Nigel No Mates: 4-3-6-7-4 (7/11) 0.81

11) Shoot Yeah: 7-4-6-7-5 (11/12) 1.09

12) Crafty Value: 5-7-5-6-4 (12/10) 1.16

13) Big Wagner: 6-4-5-7-4 (8/7) 1.21

14) R Champ: 6-4-5-7-4 (10/11) 1.05

15) Lauren's Halo: 9-3-1-4-9 (12/13) 0.97

So far, by using the speed numbers, the profiles have picked both winners, athough Crafty Value got lucky when Avenue Of Knowledge stumbled at the break in their race. Kool Smoke had a lot more Brilliant points than Shoot Yeah and figured to get a clear lead.

Over all, I thought it was good fun (but I'm easily amused).

Although it was a no-brainer as to which horse should win this last match race, nonetheless, the conduit profile numbers once again predicted the winner. Speed numbers (particularly "B") have pointed to the eventual winner in each case, even though racing luck did play a part in helping the winner of the first match. So far so good.

I don't get that channel so I have to ask if they actually work around/with the horses?

And has anyone been bitten?

They do some work around the horses, and one filly in particular seems to be a nipper. Nobody has been nailed yet to my knowledge. In each show, about half of the contestants sleep in the stable, and half (or so) are housed in a mansion as a result of a challenge. The leader of the stable crew, and the leader of the mansion crew select someone (they can pick themselves if they want to) to choose a horse for the episode's match race, with the loser eliminated, and the winner collecting $5000. Side bets can be made, up to $500 at even money (if they have that much in their bank). No horse can be chosen more than once (after they race they are scratched from the competition). Some of it is kind of dumb, but I'm having fun with it. I hope it stirs up interest in the sport.

I always wish the Real World (MTV reality show) would have the housemates work at a racetrack around the horses.
