Still paying off med bills from the busted leg - is there a rougher market this year than TB's? Well anyhow I've put up some treasured books and tack, my deepest thanks even if you just bid:

Have you thought of selling a lifetime share in your stallion giving them the right to breed one mare per year to him? If they did not want to use their season every year they could sell it to someone else. I have heard of people investing in shares that do not even own a mare and sell the season every year. It would probably bring a lot more money than selling on ebay.

Thanks for the 'heads up' regarding the Ebay items. I love to bid on stuff. Hope that your leg is healing well. Remember about those medical bills that you can just keep paying and paying a bit at a time. Sadly, as you note, the horse market is very tough at the moment. Don't get discouraged.

Thanks Bedouwia. Yes, I can pay "bits" a month but they add up to quite a lot.
Say, before I even list these on eBay, does anyone have any interest in brass stall plates? They hold a standard 4x6 index card for name or feeding instructions, etc. I have a LOT of them.

Just want to bump this up a little in the que. I have also have been looking for the books, but don't see any listed yet.
Hang in there. There is light at the end of the tunnel -- of course you always have to hope it is not from an oncoming train. The good news is that we no longer have debtors prison.

I sold a bunch of books last week - got nothing for them. I could list some more if there is interest in them:
Preston Burch - Training Thoroughbreds
Don Blazer - Make Money with Horses
Carl Nafzger - Traits of a Winner
E. Prince & G. Collier - Basic Horse Care
If anyone is interested in any of those, I will list them on eBay in an auction today. Thanks.

I think it's been out of print for a while.
In addition, I was talking to an equine bookseller the other day, and she was describing a sort of 'herd mentality' when it comes to certain books - a title will sit gathering dust for years....then someone will mention it on a web group, or some clinician will recommend it, and all of a sudden there'll be dozens of people looking for it.
Good luck ebaying!
