I hate snow.

Postby Karie » Fri Dec 19, 2008 11:15 am

That is about all I have to say...
we got dumped on.. about 8 inches. Maybe more.

and I let my husband drive my truck to work since he went to work in the worst of the storm and need to drive to a few ford plants today...
sigh... now I am forced to drive a Dodge charger on crappy roads to work.

ok enough whining...

anyone else get dumped on?

Over an INCH of rain. Fortunately it's about 68 degrees here. But SLOPPY everywhere - horses not working today.

Sorry guys, it's fabulous here and I spent yesterday clipping the woolly horses using show sheen as an agent. Afterwards I resembled a hairy wombat. A shower and a couple of Heinekens later we were all happy.

We're not getting much snow just a steady stream of ice crystals condensing out of the frigid air (-25C). I think I prefer this to mud.

Lots of snow, but the worst was the terrible wind that just kept blowing what had already fallen all over the place. Calling for snow again on Sunday and Tuesday. I have to drive to Toronto tomorrow to pick my daughter up from school. Sure hope the 'citiots' stay off the roads!

Horses didn't seem to mind the weather. They spent the day with their heads buried in the round bales.

SNOW

Postby barnchick » Fri Dec 19, 2008 5:41 pm

Snowing and blowing here in southern Ontario. In a bad job, looking for a better job, and as I do every year, I think, dream, wish for an easier climate. Usually this feeling hits in Feb., this is the earliest I have ever had the urge to go south. I know it will pass, but it is brutal out there.

Mountlake Terrace, WA (10 miles north of Seattle off I-5) 5PM, 12/19/08. Temperature 20 degrees fahrenheit. 7 inches of snow on the ground. Predicted low of 15 tonight. Another storm coming in this weekend with winds of 60 to 70 mph predicted (gusts up to 90), and more snow. Rather unusual for this neck of the woods this time of year.

Same here. We are getting around a foot and it's blowing around like a blizzard.

Ground is frozen solid and ice everywhere.

Ah....just another day in lovely New England!! 8)

8`` here in upstate NY so far on top of what we`ve had already and another snow storm Sunday & Wednesday. We head to Florida for 6 wks in mid January & I told DH to keep my trailer plowed out because I`m not walking my gelding along the highway wth the ice and snowbanks to my neighbors where I board him while we`re gone.

We got 10 inches here in Northern PA and it was freezing rain when I drove home tonight. It is supposed to pick back up around midnight  ........ Man I hate the snow and wintertime!!!! It looks really beautiful all snow covered but driving is a real pain!!!!!

I'm supposed to have two horses getting picked up tomorrow and heading to their new homes, now i'm not so sure that the people are going to be able to make it!!!!!!!
