I thought that Mike Smith had children and was married.
When he rode Funny Cide in the Derby ( I believe it was him) some scummy magazine claimed that he had elctocuted the horse and his kids got the brunt of it. I thought he was married? Now hes getting involved with Chantel sutherland?

Jose Santos rode Funny Cide in 2003. Mike Smith rode Giacomo in 2005.

P.S. The show looks interesting-- I hope they don't try to force jockey stereotypes or implicitly make fun of them as so many reality shows seem to do to the people in them.

No he isn't married and he and Chantel have been dating for quite some time.
