Can't wait!!!

Perseveres with his heart
And wins with his character. --Tesio

I guess the first episode is all about the danger, so I expect just that: a long series of horrid breakdowns. Hopefully the show will get better, but I bet episode 2 will be all about flipping.

I have seen this advertised as on tonight, but according to my Bell guide it is on Animal Planet tomorrow, Sat, Feb 7, at 9 pm. I spent ages with customer service getting the channel so will be miffed if I miss it.

Just finished watching the show. I quite enjoyed it, but closed my eyes everytime they showed a replay of a horse going down. That is the one thing about racing that really gets to me. I always worry about mine getting back safely.

There were only two horses that went down, they just kept showing it over and over again to make you think it was happening all the time. Only once did they mention that both horses were uninjured, better to let everyone think the worst while they rerun the same footage over and over. What a piece of garbage! The only bright spot was Zenyatta imo.

I didn;t think much of the show, but, I have to say, it was not as bad as I'd feared it would be form the trailers

That wasn't worth the wait & I fail to see how it sheds a positive light on the sport. Disappointed !!!

What did people expect? Something as bland as the Weather Channel should be has been hijacked by climate-alarmists, so why should the Animal channel be any different? The producers overcome naturally boring material by being drama queens.

In general, I liked it. The only thing I found odd was the redubbing of the racecalls by Trevor Denman. So and so horse with Joe Talamo on the inside with x horse and Aaron Gryder in second, I thought was a bit annoying but I guess they are trying to breath life into each jockey character..

Notice that as well and remember all the basic racing is boring to most people. For tv they have to make it exciting. I hate the horses going down too but it is a part of racing and it does sensationalize the show.

I am really surprised this is on Animal Planet and not The Discovery Channel where Man vs wild and Deadliest Catch are.

Overall I like it mainly because my son (13) wanted to be a jock and this helps him see what the guys really go through.

Remember the show they did about the Maryland farm, I forget the name of the Farm but, a filly broke down in training on the farm and was destroyed..that ended that show, Sorry, but from the publics point of view, they want a happy ending for ALL the horses, "So you lose a few" does not and will not ever sit well with the public, just stating some facts, I was in a barn years ago, when people found out I worked at the track, they were not very "forgiving" towards me, it took a long time before people stopped grilling me about the "not so great side" of racing.
