OTTB Celebration in Virginia

The Thoroughbred Celebration Horse Show, “Showcasing Off The Track Thoroughbreds.”

The Virginia Horse Center in Lexington Virginia is holding an all off track thoroughbred hunter/jumper show to showcase this wonderful breed on June 13 and 14, 2009.

The mission is to create a venue in which OTTBs and their owners can participate in Hunter/Jumper classes which are designed to accommodate different levels of training. Classes are designed for OTTBs that are just starting their show careers and those horses that have already achieved a higher level of training.

In the spirit of racing competition, the Thoroughbred Celebration Horse Show, with help from individual and corporate sponsors, will offer prizes or cash awards in all classes and divisions. Specific classes throughout the horse show have been named for either racetracks or races in the mid-Atlantic region.

During the classes, the announcer will share a personal biography provided by the owners of these OTTBs, including notable bloodlines, past performance earnings, significant races won or any interesting personal history.

A special Parade of sales horses will be the feature during the Exhibitor’s Party on Saturday evening.
