Nicanor just won race 8 at DE park by 1 3/4 lengths....I think he goes to a Colonial Stakes race next?

He'll have to move up dramatically to be competitive with a grass Derby field. A mile and an eighth in 1:52 won't cut it. I think he needs to test a two other than bunch first.

That said he's a feel good story and would be great for the sport if he can handle the jump.

I agree with Zinn21...even though the turf course at DE maybe a little slower than Colonial. He will have to do 9 furlongs in 1:49 to be competitive.

I honestly don't think he pushed himself as hard as he could. He probably could've given Rosie more if asked. Was the turf at Delaware a little on the softer side this time? I know I've been getting a lot of rain and the Northeast has too hasn't it?

I just realized Rosie's a redhead. Nothing to add to that. I only wanted to share because I didn't know til today.

Bloodhorse.com has a cool video on her. Have you seen it?
