Former CHRB Chairman Richard Shapiro Charged With Felony

Postby zinn21 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 2:34 pm

See link below but from the article:

"district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons told the publication. Shapiro allegedly keyed Jamgotchian’s car after a CHRB meeting on April 24."

Anybody know what "keyed" a car means??

It's an act of vandalism. Scratching the vehicle with car keys.

Specifically, it is when someone takes the point of the key and scratches the car from the front bumper along the side to the back bumper. High school kids do it a lot in high school parking lots.
I had read about this before and hoped it was not true of Shapiro.

This owner sounds like a pip, he'd be a burr under anyones saddle. But, keying his car is juvinile and shouldn't have been done. I'd have him pay for a new paint job, it's not like the car's undriveable.............

The story I heard was that Shapiro sat in his car, got out, keyed Jamgotchian's Jaguar, got back in his car, drove away, then came back and did it again. (!)

Supposedly the whole thing was captured by security cameras.

Is it really possible he could pull a destructive prank like that? Wow. Every time I come into contact with a state official, they disappoint me. Still, I've read the transcripts of the CHRB meetings. I'm sure it was an irresistable impulse.

What an embarrassing post script to a short and troubled tenure as chairman.

That Jama****** is one of those people that files constant frivolous lawsuits, literally stalks the CHRB meetings and is probably the evil twin of a certain individual long ago banned from here.

On top of that, Shapiro has had a pretty tough year. He was hit pretty hard by the Madoff scheme, I believe.
