Jockey silks question

Postby Blue feather » Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:54 am

Can anyone recommend the best type of jockey silks and where to buy them? I'm located in PA.

We also get our silks from Silks Unlimited. They do a very nice job.

Ive used Daly's Custom silks in NJ (your neck of the woods) without incident.

717-469-2157 Neil's turf supply on the backside at Penn National. They have a seamstress that does fantastic work.

Why not try Odds -on Colours. Based in South Africa. Printed silks, brilliant colours & definitions. E mail design to us, we will print, sew & courier back to you, probably at a better rate than you can get back home[/quote]

I'm resurrecting this thread because I've just received a wide range of quotes from 12 different makers of racing silks.

For Nylon: $105.95, $125 (2), $160, $165, $175 (3), $206.50, $215, $250 and $325!!.

Aerodynamic Lycra prices start at $160, $180, $190, $200 and go all the way up to $300.

If you're in the market for silks, PM me and I'll be happy to share what I learned.

Check out on FB Rebel DeJesus. She's in Reno, she's been doing silks for years, and does a great job! She has about a dozen pictures in her FB photo page.

You can email her [email protected] as well.

I think you'll like her prices, and her quality.
