This is a link to a project to bring a DRF archive to the web. It is not complete by any means, but for those of us who get a kick out of handicapping the card for the fourth at Cahokia in May 1977 you might check it out. Some of the classic stories by Hirsch et al are there as well.

You can actually search the site (upper right corner) to find things in the DRF pdfs. So I did a search for the dam of an old mare of mine from the 70's archive, low and behold, a couple of entries of her maiden races showed up. While for me this aspect of the site is more for fun than anything, it could be useful for some other kinds of research. For example, for those who are looking at a bloodline may be interested in stories about old Breeder's Cup contenders who maybe didn't start, or started and didn't run well but subsequently showed up in the breeder's shed. A tidbit on an injury or accident might be helpful in decisionmaking.
i.e. Here's a picture of Life's Magic, dam of Magic Prospect, BC Distaff winner, who used to stand in Va for a while.
