I need help

I need to get a full list of all the american trainers and jockies. all of them.

what is the best way to go about getting this list? i'll pay if i have to.

wow! That is a big project. I just looked up trainer watch at drf. with the letters wi (you have to use two letters). 120 trainers popped up. This goes back to stats since 1991.

I would think you would have to go to each state racing commission and ask for a list of current trainers and jockeys that have a license.

tracks have end of year stats. You could find everyone who started at least one horse. It's probably available as a spreadsheet.

The American Racing Manual, which is published annually, lists the records of every trainer, jockey, and horse that started in a given year.

The DRF publishes it, so chances are they're tabulating the info on their site somewhere....if you need the info current, they're probably your best bet. if not, the most recent published ARM covers 2009.

That's my advice and don't they have an online version downloadable?
