I would like to introduce the brand new Indiana Thoroughbred Association (ITA.) Be sure to look for the full article announcing the ITA in the current issue of Midwest Thoroughbred Magazine.
The ITA board of directors has been hard at work for some time now, preparing the ITA for public launch, and to celebrate the inaugural month they are offering a reduced membership opportunity that also directly supports Thoroughbreds coming off of the racetrack!
Through the month of August the ITA is offering a full year membership for only $10, and half of that ($5) goes to Friends of Ferdinand through the Rockin' the Racehorse event, where money raised goes to support Thoroughbreds that are retiring from racing. New ITA members will also receive $10 off any sheet or blanket at The Stable Tack Shop through December 31, 2010. Since this discount is the full amount of the membership fee, it means you have an opportunity to support retiring racehorses through Friends of Ferdinand and Rockin' the Racehorse AND be a part of an exciting new association at, effectively, NO cost to you!
This special membership deal is valid only through August 31st, so please visit these web links to learn more about the groups who are working together to benefit the Thoroughbred:

The ITA is not affiliated with the ITOBA or the HBPA in any way.
The ITA's scope is much broader than that of the other Thoroughbred Associations. It encompasses the Thoroughbred breed as a whole, which includes racehorses but also includes OTTBs, sport horses, pleasure horses, etc.
