Two options -

From 146 to 47 live dates proposed by Magna et al.

OR

"There has been a lot of talk about eminent domain,” Foreman said. “The more I hear what’s coming out of the ownership, I’m not so sure we shouldn’t go down that road.”

The state of Maryland running the industry?! Maybe they could imitate a NYRA and really make a mess of things.

This was a good thing, not a bad thing. If they had approved the proposal MD racing would have been on death's door. Luckily they did not and they booted Penn National gaming out in the process. At the next meeting which I believe is on the 21st they will approve a schedule that will look very similar to the dates we had this year.

doesn't look like penn gaming is going anywhere; plus, our illustrious legislators are already looking at the % of slots $$ slated for racing. that didn't take long.
