Omar Berrio Status

Postby zinn21 » Sun Jan 02, 2011 8:31 am

If anyone has a current condition on Jockey Omar Berrio I would appreciate an update. Omar has flown under the radar in the SoCal Jock's colony for many years but I have always appreciated his ability.

He rode a termendous race for trainer AC Avila winning the Feature Race last Thursday at Santa Anita aboard Celtic Princess. Shortly after he had a Stroke.

OB is a class person, I have always got along with him, as he is an unrated rider. My prayers are with him.

Man that is really good news. I understand he received the clot busting drug TPA shortly after entering the Hospital. Perhaps that helped minimize damage. Good luck to Omar..
