Edward "Ned" Evans, who operated Spring Hill Farm in Casanova, Virginia, died in New York on Friday. His homebred, A Little Warm, took the Jim Dandy. Evans also bred Saint Liam, 2005 Horse of the Year.
Not many of those old-style owner/breeders left in the game.
