Quality Road's Owner-Breeder Dead At 68

Postby Patuxet » Sun Jan 02, 2011 10:11 am

Edward "Ned" Evans, who operated Spring Hill Farm in Casanova, Virginia, died in New York on Friday. His homebred, A Little Warm, took the Jim Dandy. Evans also bred Saint Liam, 2005 Horse of the Year.

Not many of those old-style owner/breeders left in the game.
"He is pure air and fire and the dull elements of earth and water never appear in him; he is indeed a horse ..." Wm. Shakespeare - Henry V

Life is so fragile. His presence in the VA TB industry and beyond is going to be missed.
