Not to mean to resurect a zenyatta post but....
A P INDY now pensioned.... I think that the MOSS's must have known that he was going to be pensioned and wanted the best shot for her. I was reading a thread about why they didn't pick Indy and now we know.

Wow, AP is pensioned!

You're right Karen, somebody had to know something....

And I hope that Bernie does not get the job done again. I hope Zenyatta will be seen back in the barns of a track for all our enjoyment!!

She's just too good to be stuck in a broodmare's life. She wants to RUN!
We will NEVER see another Ruffian......

As old as he is and how often used he was, it should have been more than just a rumor he could have been going stale.

I would have atleast tried once, and my god if that old man could have gotten atleast one in foal for the season and it was Zenyatta- he would have gone out a happy man (in his owners eyes).

I'm glad they didn't bother trying.

He bred 25+ mares and got NONE in foal. She was bred, did get in foal and slipped already. If she'd tried with Indy they'd have been no further ahead. I am surprised they've not announced whether she was bred back this week or not. The pubs all stated she'd likely be bred again this week. I wonder if the follicle didn't develop suitably or if they've just chosen not to say if she did go back this week.

your absolutely right :!: ...but ..theres always the but....probably the the most famous breeder ever....."TESIO" was of the mind that sometimes that electric spark when two horses meet in person ...creates greatness in the offspring...and for the life of me right now im racking my brain for the example  ...it will come to me...i have to go grab the book off the shelf.......
