Really pisses me off when I see someone throw a cig out their window.

I always worried when I was hauling horses in warm weather with the trailer open.

Lots of brush fires are started this way. How stupid can people be?

stupid is "endless" when humans are involved...with tragic results...

Something similar happened in Spain in 2001, but it was no accident. It was prepared... a bullfighter's horse truck was set on fire on purpose, ordered by another who was jealous of him. How sick can a human being be to do that. But the people he hired to carry his plan out, burned another truck instead. I don't like bull fighting, but it shook me the same when it all happened, it was about the horses no matter what activity they do. The issue was taken to court several times and "solved" (with 1 year of prison or economic compensation) almost ten years later.

The result was...12 horses involved. No words to explain it... Six died and the other 6 were burned partialy, but could be recovered after some time. After that, the poor things would go mad if walked near a truck, so most were retired to live in pastures.

Only one of them had enough mental strength to travel again. He enters any van or truck stamping his feet, very sure, like if he wants to show he is not scared. He is physicaly marked by the tragedy, but he doesn't care. Loud sounds make him nervous, but he puts up with it. I've always found it amazing how this animal could carry on living and working again. Even though his owner just made him appear a few times afterwards.

There was even a video made in 2009 just before the owners had to meet in court with the criminals. It's in spanish but.. if anyone wants to take a look, they focus on the horse I mention, Óleo.
