Another colt for La Ville Rouge

Another colt for the Jacksons. I know they want a filly and had to be heartbroken when she slipped the one she was pregnant with. They are considering breeding her back to Dynaformer again.

I get the whole idea of creating another Barbaro,, but really is it that important to have a filly.. I know it would be epic for their breeding program, but it was a fluke he was that good.

Will they give her the year off, since she foaled so late?

Probably not too many more chances to get a Dynaformer filly from her, given his age. The mare's fifteen, I would guess that they're going to roll the dice and hope she'll have a few more years to "see other people" after they get that Halo-line filly they clearly desire.

maybe she just doesn't carry fillies. Says so in her contract. But people can't read hoofprints... oh well.

Fluke might not be the best word. Granted, the brothers didn't live up to Barbaro's ability, but Nicanor did earn 147k and Lentenor was 4th in the Florida Derby. Most breeders would be pretty happy with either of those results. Why not breed La Ville Rouge to Dynaformer again, since the cranky old coot is still standing at stud? ;)

no I agree, dont stray from a winning formula since the stud is older than dirt, but his better days are behind him, and at this point they are probably compt breedings to him..
