Versus to televise Saratoga
I was watching the Tour de France on Versus TV (an NBC sports affiliate on Dish Network) and they are running an add about televising the Saratoga meet.
Yes I believe Versus and NBC will be packaging Saratoga racing. Versus is owned by NBC. And Comcast owns the whole thing.
I am wondering if Lafitte Pincay will be hosting. He hosted Triple Crown coverage on Versus this spring..

I'm hoping now that he has his foot in the NBC door he'll get some opportunities. I think he would make a terrific Football play by play man. It certainly is time the Networks start developing some younger talent. Joe Buck is 42. Al Michaels is 66 and Bob Costas is 59.
I was wondering the same. Laffite, jr. is a very good broadcaster. He has a great future in broadcasting. I compare him to the late Jim McKay. Viola! We seem to agree.

hi Shammy Davis...hi all
Laffit III (Jr was his great riding Dad) always seems to be well prepared and is one helluva host/commentator, as far as I'm concerned.
He has a voice that's got a mellow but strong sound, with tone and clarity that's easy listening...and he's not over the top when it comes to modulation.
It would surprise me if he hasn't been recently approached by other MAJOR sports programmers.
Taking that one step further...when Laffit III and Jeff Siegel team up on HRTV...I feel like I'm listening to the two best in the game (at what they do), when it comes to thoroughbred racing coverage/commentary/insights/analysis/perspective/opinion.
Seems to me that Laffit IIIs got the makings of a TOP major sports host/anchor...and I'd like to see Siegel (vast knowledge and experience as an owner [co-founder Team Valor]/breeder/syndicated handicapper/columnist/commentator etc etc) continue to work with Laffit III if a major 'sidekicks' opportunity comes to pass.
Best to ya.
Respectfully
