Big Wind, Rain

Postby Joltman » Sun Aug 28, 2011 3:10 pm

Am wondering how everybody made out with Hurricane Irene. I would think those closest to the coast took the worst.

Here in central Va we had some rain, but a lot worse in Richmond and east. Since a lot of farms have streams, I'm thinking that local flooding may be the problem, all the way into New England.

I have a tidal ditch at the back of my property and last night @ 9:00 PM [high Tide] it was about 100 feet wide and about 50 feet from my horse shed. Finally had te water front I've always wanted.

This was definitely NOT anything close to the last two big ones that came through but we did get about 10 inches of rain. Lost power yesterday, got it back last night and lost it again this morning.. Power cable and land line phone just came back on

A/C really feels good.
