Rapid Redux
Goes for #18 in less than 1/2 hour.
I have no idea how to read a condition book but from equibase the race is open to horses that have ran for 5000 claiming during 2010 and 2011 so he must have started during 2010 for 5C but I looked at some of the races and did not see when it was. The bloodhorse said that he may start at the same level on November 3rd and go for tying the streak then. My guess is that he needs to tie it before the end of the year because he will have to move up in 2012 but I could be wrong.
It was definitely fun watching him last night. I had a small "Rapid Redux" dinner gathering, almost as much fun as Sunday Night Football. The most annoying part was watching TVG and seeing which race they were going to show and then they choose the quarterhorse race. Rapid is the type of horse who bring a few new owners in but not with coverage like that.

Rather powerful looking race actually. He could have folded with the early pressure, as many do at CT, but even with the second challenge he had plenty left as Acosta attested. One help was having the two inside of him scratch out due to transport problems.
I like the Rapid Redux party idea.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.

Makes me want to start my 2 YO in a C5000 instead of a MSW.

So what? It still is a very nice streak and shows that his owner/trainer know how to read a condition book and pick up checks. He is not being abused by running back to back too quickly and he's definitely a thrill to watch
