Please stop entering notes that the "name in the database is wrong by omission of an apostrophe"
I keep thinking there's interesting information in the "i" and keep running across that. Grrr.
Is this really important enough to warrant a note?

If you pass those along to me I can fix them when I get a chance. Please use PM or the research request forum, as I do not always have time to check the whole board.
I always try to lock up the entries for fatalities before their comment fields turn into shrines, or worse, end up full of libellous statements about the horse's connections. The apostrophe thing I can *usually* fix - it requires deleting & re-entering the horse, so if there's a lot of progeny involved it can be an all-day (or longer) project.

I doubt they'd be confused with another horse, no. But it's still not accurate, and in some cases a missing apostrophe or period can change the pronounciation - or even meaning - of the name. A.P. Indy was Ap Indy in the database for quite a while.
Of course, that doesn't make it OK to leave those notes in the comment field. It would be nice if people would either fix the entry, or ask someone who can - the chances of such a someone seeing the note fall somewhere between slim and astronomical, and the error gets harder to fix as time passes and progeny pile up.
