Yes, very interesting that this 9 YO was "rescued of the track' after being in a pasture for three years, which would have made him a 6YO when he went into the pasture after two starts.

think maybe he started racing as a 5 YO or maybe is even more stuff between his two starts and the 3 years in the pasture?

I've always viewed these ads as being very cynically aimed at a certain audience to sell a horse that otherwise can't sell himself easily. Kind of up there with "the ugly truck is coming!"

What I don't understand is why a horse like this with serious neurological disorder can't be put down humanely, without condemnation for those who would support it.

the chances of a horse like this having long term caring owners over many years is slim.

And, if the horse is not rideable, he may be dangerous to himself or others.

I recently saw a house cat that had had both rear legs amputated due to cancer, pulling itself around a house with it's two front legs. The owner is very proud of saving it's life. I bet the cat, who used to jump, run, play, may not agree.

NINE months of gound training!! Good grief what in the world can one teach a horse using ground training that he didn't learn while he was at the tractk. I suspect the 'neurological disorder' is that the current owner doesn't have the skills to handle this horse.
