Claiming Web Sites?

Postby texas tea » Thu Jul 05, 2012 2:02 pm

Are there any web sites out there that deal specificaly with claiming horses. Not the " how to ", but one(s) that follow claimers and make suggest ( perhaps for a fee ) of horses to claim and what track the horse is at?

God I hope not. That sounds mind bogglingly negligent.

Claiming horses that you think you can move up on is very difficult and time consuming. When I am in the market I spend hours reading the drf then spend even more hours watching the individual horses. I watch their previous races, study them in the paddock, check the condition books for possible spots to run them back. If I like what I see then I fill out the slip and hope for the best. At least I only have myself to blame if things don't work out.

If you don't know what you are doing then you'd better have a trustworthy trainer or advisor that does. The very idea that you'd consider claiming a horse based on some internet touts is shocking. If they had a clue wouldn't they'd be claiming these great horses for themselves with all the winnings their previous successful claims had made for them.

If there was such a site then my advice would be to run the other way.
