Are there ways to prevent arthritis from developing in a young racehorse?

Hi Diane
if the horse is let to grow in a big pasture with lots of room to run and green grass, and fed no or very limited amount of grain the chances are pretty good.

I feed Platinum Performance to almost all my horses, especially sucklings, weanlings and yearlings. I have had NO vet bills for illness on any of them for years. I dont race that much but always put those horses on it too and have never had a problem with arthritis.

I also think that its easy to over supplement, which is why I use only PP and Osteon, which helps bone development. They arent cheap but Ive found they more than pay for themselves over time.
