Double Rasmussen Factor

Postby wgc517 » Mon Jan 21, 2013 5:25 pm

I know the school of thought is that the Rasmussen Factor produces a higher chance of success (I know it is debateable) but has anyone ever seen a double rasmussen factor?

I have a mare that is double RF when Hypo Mated to Hard Spun (via Natalma and Banquet Bell) and I was wondering what other horses who are doubles might have done. Can anyone find another? Wondering f the success rate increase with two RFs.

I thought you would have at least one.. Interesting that Ashado has the same two as Pining. That is 50% success.

I wonder if there are others.

PS I moved Pining along. I hope the new owners have success with her. I just had to minimize my risk and at this point she was more risk than I could afford to take. If I had unlimited resources she would still be her. I still think she has upside....

Like sire line voodoo and X-factor hokum the magic of the Rasmussen Factor has been summarily discredited.

Over the years David Dinks, on his "Boojum's Bonanza" blog, has made a practice of routinely and systematically disproving the RF. He derives his most recent dismissive data from analysis of duplications of Ellen Parker's “Reines-de-Course" in Thoroughbred pedigrees. ttp://ddink55.wordpress.com/?s=Rasmussen+Factor

There's a great title. :D

The link to the BB page didn't work for me, but I found the article here http://ddink55.wordpress.com/2012/12/20/rasmussen-factor-reines-de-course/

Hi Patuxet,
Aside from spending his time disproving Leon Rasmussen's theory, has he been able to introduce a David Dinks Factor proven to give consistently good results? TJ
