Any notable "December surprise" foals?

I know sometimes there are early babies and in the past some fudging happened to have the foal "born" on Jan 2, but I remember reading a few years ago that the JC supposedly cracked down on that. Are there any December foals of note that went on to overcome the disadvantage? If you took them to Australia for instance, I guess it'd be like having a late June foal but that might be doable.

I was checking out when Real Quiet's last 2yos would come on the scene (this year) and noticed his G2 placed daughter, now broodmare, Whirlwind Charlott had a curious situation in 2008, giving birth to two foals, one of whom was born Dec 29 and she made it to the races while her brother did not.

Incidentally, has anybody got an opinion on Whirlwind Charlott's 2010 foal Show Some Magic? (born Jan 15 and runs in 5 days) He won the Riley Allison Futurity in Dec. and was 5th in the Hopeful.

They are both racing, he's in Japan.

Ah interesting. I guess Equibase doesn't pay attention to those. How's he been doing?
