damnit ... it's not like he CAN'T go that far, he just keeps getting beat in the last few jumps. I really hope he does come over for the BC Mile.

Very tough to be a front running miler. You really got to have some giddy up and silent witness just falls a little short late.

Ala Lure, he sure had that giddy up. I also hope he comes over for the BC, it's great to get these kinds of horses from other countries.

I'm wondering how much of his last two losses can be accredited to them being his only two starts at the distance and therefore him still thinking he's running sprints. His whole career, he's only had to run so far ... there's a mental adjustment that needs to be made for a horse to do something new after 17 starts. You don't run 6f the same way you run 8f. He still needs to be taught that. Sheer talent can get you 6f, talent and skill gets you 8f.

Thanks for the link Hungdynasty.

Looked like Balance Of Game (8) made a herculean run on the outside approaching the stretch and he had a shot but was out finished.

Quite a race.
