The other ads by the same poster say the same thing. Nice, huh?

Sounds like a hard-core dealer to me. Interesting that they have horses advertised in both Illinois and Washington, is their location close to Cavel? Makes a person nauseous

I wondered if the double location was a misprint of some sort. The ones in WA don't have the same "tone" as the ones in IL.

You see it more and more. People KNOW that true horse lovers will Save a horse if it is going for meat. They put something on like that on the ads to encourage people to buy. I work in Management for Petsmart. It is now a common theme to put " My cat will be detroyed if you don't adopt it" on posters. Makes me really mad  Sad fact is that the horse market is really slow with the flood from our PMU farms up here in Canada. Horses with little to no breeding are a dime a dozen.

There is a 12 year old cats picture on our board that reads " Save me from being Destroyed" Makes you wonder who could give up a pet they have had for 12 years!!!!! GRRRRRR.....Marketing sheesh...what will it be next:

Two kids for sale cheap. Noisy, they mess up the house and eat I didnt know that when I had them..... :D ,noone told me.....

(for those of you without a sense of humor the above child advertisement is a joke)

I don't even want to comment... how some people can live with themselves is beyond me...

I will, however, save the link for a time when I'm in a particularly foul, bad mood and feel the need to take it out on someone...

You can find children cheap, you just go to 7-11 and start passing out Slurpees. Instant family :) No need to go through pregnancy. I forgot to add that you need to go after 10:00 that is when I see groups of kids. all under the age of nine. Parents no where to be seen

No one on this list needs to know I am a slurpee addict and frequently go out after dark to get another hit..I keep saying just one more.LOL There is always another slurpee waiting on the corner.

It's ads like these that really get my anger flared. Sad fact of the matter is the majority of them don't give a rats ass, and if a meat buyer contacts them, the horse is gone. Yes, it's a bold and brazen ad, but the truth. Can't mention what I'd like to do these kinds on a public forum....

There is no reason to be ashamed of a slurpee addiction.

I'm so bad, I hit both kinds and mix them with the fountain drinks so it's more of a slushie than a slurpee

either that or I hit Sonic for their "90,000 combinations" of cream slushies

AHHH, very effective marketing tool. This person got us to checkout their ad and will probably get some kind soul to buy this mare so that she is saved from an ill fate. Hey, at least this seller is being honest. Many horses that fail to become good racers suffer the same fate but, never get the chance to go on the sale block until they are in the auction pen. Pretty ballsy to set up a sale add like that but, it may let you know who you are dealing with. People buying for slaughter will probably tell you that is what they are doing because they know they won't affend the seller. Would love to do a marketing study on this to see what kind of buyers and offers you would get...........could be interesting.
