Charles Town Paddock Sale--Nice chance to buy a prospect!

Postby clever » Wed Sep 14, 2005 6:27 am

Just wanted to remind folks of the paddock sale coming up at Charles Town on September 20th.

Information can be found here:
www.ctownraces.com/images/sept5.doc
www.ctownraces.com/images...gnors.html (link to consignors)

The prices in the past were very low, with some pretty nice horses going through--both race prospects and sporthorse..

CANTER has been at each sale to bid on those who were priced at killer price--happily no horses sold for under 400$, but sold for a very low price in general. We are currently gathering funds to purchase (if need be) at least one horse.

Neither of those links are working.

He sold for $2400....I didnt like his head at all... I should have taken a picture of his head since its hard to describe but almost like he had a toupee or bumps above his eyes to the top of his head. Honestly I couldnt get past his head to really see the rest of him, but I do remember that he had a nice hind end.

Gerry,

did you by any chance see hips 30 and 41? Curious as to what they brought, also.

Oh #30...what a steal! I thought I had her at $600 and with her breeding I was getting excited but she sold for $1550...nice looking mare just not the right mix of buyers for her and I wasnt there to really buy for myself so was trying hard to sit on my hands.

#41..yup the Citidancer mare....nice chestnut definitely had his look to her, white blaze, a couple of white socks if memory serves correctly..sold for $4000

I wish I would have known about him earlier. Would have let a few friends know. A Storm Bird!!! I don't care if he had an ugly head or not...his crops have done well for what he has gotten. Hope he went to someone who will do well with him. A Storm Bird...I can't get over that!!!
