Peace Rules x Grey Ballet 2005 sabino colt

Postby Chanter » Thu Jan 12, 2006 9:17 pm

For you sabino color fans: Summerfield sales agency, in Ocala. has in a 2005 chestnut colt, Peace Rules x Grey Ballet, that is a sabino.

Wish I could get a pict, though I do not own a camera. Has a shaded white line across top front of his croup, running to much stronger white as it curves down around the back of his rump towards his tall. White on legs. White blaze.

They said they have never seen such markings before, & they do about 500 sales horses a year. Hehehe, the things a person can learn from reading this board.

I am a huge Peace Rules fan and have been waiting to hear news on his first foals. This mare Grey Ballet is in the OBS sale next week. She was mated March 10, I guess the foal came quite early.

No, this is a yearling. A 2005 colt. Born 1/24.

Grey Ballet's 2006 foal is not yet born.

If it is a yearling, it is not out of Peace Rules because he entered stud last year. His first foals are coming this year, 2006. Grey Ballet had a more than ready colt last year so I assume he is the sabino.

For all those other Peace Rules fans out there, his first foal was born on 1/2/06 in Ocala. A gray filly out of a Black Tie Affair mare.

Dear Chanter,

Thank you so much for the fine solicitude of alerting me on this one. I earnestly appreciate it. Hmmm, according to your description, this horse has to be seen. No question about it. Would appreciate to browse his picture or find a closer e-link.

Wow Chanter, not only his phenotype looks interesting, but judging by the preceding responses, his pedigree has many fans. Interesting watch!

Thanks again. Blessings,

Dear Chanter,

Albeit Peace Rules is conservative his pedigree is not absent of decent sabino ancestors. Grey Ballet is the major source here, especially the suggestively named, Miss Tickled Pink and her pedigree. Nice horse to follow up (Miss Tickled Pink). Thank you very much!

It is not """""BY"""""" Peace Rules. Sorry, but that just drives me crazy. 'Course, most would probably say I don't have far to go :P

The card on his stall door says Peace Rules. That is purely what I am going by.

It is not the stallion being objected to, it is the use of "out of" referring to a stallion. Foals are BY their stallions and come OUT OF their mares. Reversing the terms seems quite popular among people mainly involved with Quarter Horses. Nonetheless, it brings the literacy of its user into question.

Whatever, I didn't know by saying "out of" was such a horrible thing. Don't need to jump down anyone's throat. I didn't jump down Chanter's throat for posting misinformation about the foal.
Jeez...Tough room.

Again Nappy, I repeat, I was purely going by what is posted on the stall card in their barn. I do not breed, nor shop the yearling market thus my profound ignorance. Though after this here, I did ask them & found out the colt is correctly listed in the sales catalog.

I merely posted about him to begin with for I know many here follow sabino patterns with great interest.

You're in Ocala, go by & take a picture of him at the sale for the sabino fans here. I do not own any type of camera, otherwise I would.

My part in the horse world is merely: They poop I scoop, they hatch 'em I catch 'em.
