For Jorge: Birdcatcher Spots on TB mare

Postby SummerLand » Sat Feb 04, 2006 10:02 pm

I just thought Jorge might like to take a look at this mare: http://horseadoption.com/horsedetail.asp?id=222

She looks like she has a bunch of little Birdcatcher spots, but no other white markings except a very faint star.

Enjoy :) .

That's so unusual but so pretty. For you folks that know more about the genetics of this sort of thing, what causes it?

Dear SummerLand,

Thank you very much for referring this interesting watch.
I cannot fully explain this phenotype but one thing is sure: Sabino source Halo is there and two doses of the sire Spy Song aren't ineffective at all. Thats for sure.

Blessings,

Bestbandintheland has spots like that too. Also some socks.
Our web site will be up soon, and you'll be able to see for yourself. :D
