Who's that filly?

Postby Shammy Davis » Mon Jul 02, 2007 3:57 pm

What was the name of that filly that blew the panties off the field in the 3rd on SAT. at Hollywood Park? Citronella? Citro ... something? Should be Nitro-nade. The whole field looked good, but this gal blew them away without even being asked. I think Johnny V was in the irons. What's her registered name?

just watched the race replay... very impressive. does anyone know what the future plans for her are? if she keeps running like that, she could have a good chance in the FM Turf. I know there are some good European fillies this year, but turf fillies in the US seem sparse.

She's royally bred. She's out of a Canadian Broodmare of the Year. She's a half to Canadian champion Primarily, champion Poetically, and good Canadian stallion Whiskey Wisdom.

My fave the Lemon Drop Kid is priced nicely at 20k. Give the foals a little bit of time and they run for you. Same with Point Given. Folks were down on both these guys way to early. I think they will both prove to be solid to outstanding sires.
And DOWN the stretch they come!

it's about time she tackled some real runners and not the JV class turf fillies out in the west coast. Wait a while, (dreaming of anna?) and company. her and glorified have to be the two most overhyped horses in this planet. You see what happened to glorified today. When you are a stakes calibur horse and you run against allowence horses.. that's pretty much what happens... although she did beat naughty rafela...and how can you not like a horse named naught rafela?

who do you define "and company" to be? wait a while is good as long as the course is firm, but i would say dreaming of anna is solid step below being a top-class turf female at 1 3/8 or 1 1/4 at this point. honey ryder is good and consistent, but who else is there?

I'm not going to name every other top filly turfer in the country, but just horses not on that JV circut out in socal.

the onlyt thing SoCal has a jump on anyone in is 3YO fillies. Rags to Riches, Magnificance, Silver Swallow, Coco Belle, Glorified, Driven to Excel (or something like that)

even the 4YO fillies on DIRT aren't half bad... Balance, hysterical lady, pussycat doll

but everything else is laughable as far as divisions. I know Dreaming of anna isn't a top class filly yet.. but she can be if she can get whatever it is out her system. she's by Rahy for crying out loud.

All the good turf fillies seem to be in the mid west/ east coast.

Brigadier Gerard does NOT make her royally bred!

Maven...she's royally bred because she's got WHAT on the top female side? What was Lassie Dear? *hint* *hint*

She's royally bred because she hails from one of the most recently important Candian families around. Add the blueblooded Lemon Drop Kid, and you have a sales page as good as any.
