I picked CJ to win but I felt sorry for James K, as he is David trying to slew Golaith. Great run BBJ, You have won my heart for your great performance. Your fan Louis.

I love that horse - what a heart. A five thousand dollar blue collar purchase. He keeps alive the idea of the dream of the big horse. I hope he stays healthy because I believe that no matter where and when he races he has the chance to become one of those fan favorites that we desperately need in the sport.

Hi Louis, I was wondering how BBJ was put together, he raced wide throughout used most of the final turn and was stumbling and bumbling all through the strech. This horse has a ton of heart was it his action or just exhaustion that took its toll in the lane.
If I could be anywhere at any time it would be Keeneland in the spring.

Sir Barton: BBJ has 11 crosses of Ph.---1 cross Fair Play---1 cross Teddy---1 cross Rabelais---1 cross Prince Rose---1 cross Teddy.

BBJ is inbred 5 X 5 to Nearctic=Ph. sire line.

Both BBJ & CJ have the same breeding pattern, Fair Play over Ph. This cross has produced Native Dancer---bold Ruler---Toussaud---Buckpasser---Deputy Minister---Smarty Jones---Ghostzapper.

BBJ was getting tired in the stretch & didnt change leads on time to give him that unbalanced appearance. You can see the difference in these Tb when they are bred from 2 sire lines that are not related, as it gives them hybrid vigor= oxygen=soundness=nervous energy as Tesio believed, plus soundness. The non-fashion mating that produced BBJ & CJ breeds a Tb that will bounce back after a tough race & they will clean up their feed & will be looking forward to their next race.

I thought no way would he get this distance and hit the board too, the last 1/8th was run on all heart for this horse no doubt.

I wish his trainer had not taken it so hard, he's done a fine job getting BBJ to outrun his pedigree. CJ is one fine horse and bred for 12F no shame in losing yesterday IMO.

His sire might be an obscure horse but BBJ's family is one of the best in the studbook. They're all class.

BBJ does not have enough earnings for the Derby. JK told me he is planning to run in the Met Mile. BBJ came out of his race in super condition, as those fashion breds are heading for R & R.

Thanks Louis, I keep forgetting he has less graded earnings than his page says. Best of luck to them, his trainer seems a very classy and thoughtful guy.

JK is indeed a class person, he has a mare & asked my advice who to breed her to, & I suggested High Brite because of those NP sire lines in HB pedigree, JK now has a nice colt by HB & he returned his mare to HB again, lets hope that lightning strikes twice.

Thanks for all your help with your world wide network of volunteers to track those injured Tb. With Love & Peace Louis.

I'm really very sorry he's not going to the Derby. According to the list I have he's right on the bubble and with a couple above him not likely to go he could still make it.

If the Derby is really all about the best 20 horses of the current crop being displayed before all the racing fans in the post parade, then Bob Black Jack belongs there on heart alone, no matter where he finishes in the race. And being the horse he is I suspect his finish would be respectable.

I really am disappointed he's not going. Last I heard they were still mulling it over.

Louis - if my graded stakes list is right and the names of horses off the list is correct then BBJ is right on the bubble..

Any word about him or how he is doing???

BBJ is Doing great at this time. J. K. Is thrilled that BB J. will have a chance to run in the Derby.

Bruce Headley's filly magnificence will not run before the end of the meet, as the allowance race didn't fill, so will have to wait till Hollywood Park for her 2008 debut.
