Indian Weaver Claimed Again
Can anyone tell me how many times this horse has been claimed? I think it must be well over a dozen times. He is by our stallion Basket Weave and is an iron horse for sure.

zinn, do you remember a mare running in Northern California in the early 1980's? She was a real winner for one particular trainer. EVERYBODY claimed that horse, and she would slide down the ranks, then he would claim her back, stick her back in for double and she would win again for $12,500 or $20,000. I'm sure that guy sold her over 10 times. It was on the front page of the local DRF edition. They interviewed the trainer, and he smiled and said, "There is a little something. I'm surprised no one has figured it out yet." People were going crazy trying to figured out what he meant.

I got a copy of his race record showing where he ran, what the races were, and it shows when he was claimed. Anywhere from $15,000 on up each time. What a guy. We have his 2 year old 3/4 brother here and mom is expecting a Top Account shortly.

I love Basket Weave. Check out the trainers that grabbed a Basket Weave colt that was the result of one of my breeding recommendations (Zulu Dancer). Purchased by Ed Moger at the WTBA Summer sale. Broke his maiden in a MSW race in Northern California. Went to Southern California where he was claimed by Barry Abrams. He was then claimed by Art Sherman, and then by John Martin. He was injured in a training accident and retired (pleasure horse for John Martin's daughter). He raced in California, mainly in $25,000 plus claiming, or allowance races. Nice looking boy.
Basket Weave is also turning into a very good broodmare sire.
