Sam wrote:'bout the only channel I can think of that will air it live would be HRTV if you have that. Stronach won't send his signals to TVG and ABC is only broadcasting the 3yo preps (hmmmm ... $500k Grade 2 for 3yos over a million dollar Grade 1 handicapper ... yeah, good programming choice .. dumbasses .. they could at least tape delay the 'Cap).

As for the radio .. I think you are out of luck up in Sac. If you were in LA, you might have been able to get it.

Cal Expo is probably simulcasting it .. you could go down there.

Yes...I could probably do that.

That really wasn't a smart decision. I mean, everybody's heard of the Santa Anita H. As for the others, only those who are really into the horse racing world will know about those. Even my sister knows about the S.A. Handicap, and she's, well, she doesn't really pay attention to much but school and friends and such. It just confuses me as to why, you know? The big bosses at ABC don't strike me as being too bright. -_-

I only have the Dish Network Satellite but they have both TVG and HRTV , next to each other on the channel list and about the only thing we dont get is Philly Park. I heard the announcers on HRTV today say that there would be ONE HOUR of John Henry on his birthday which I believe is Sunday!!!! What a treat.

Happy Birthday to John Henry and his groom Jose Mercado, both are senior years. Jose Mercado is working as a groom for Louie Ciencola.

When I was coming home from Santa Anita, and the fans were coming to the track on Big Cap day, I was observing all the traffic and cars that were coming to see the big Cap. It reminded me of the old days when this many fans came to see the races on the weekends.

I guess TB racing still has some fans that will show up on big race days.
I know Frank Stronach will appreciate the handle and attendance today.
Those without sin cast the first stone.

Well the Rocky fans can smile!!! he looked pretty good out there. Its tough to beat the local boys at S. A. Glad I never bet against him. Watched a promising young horse win an allowance for Zito at Gulfstream by Giants Causeway and of course Lost in the Fog was sharp in the Swale so it seems like an interesting 8 weeks until the Derby.
