Rosie goes out with a bang
Not much impresses me anymore but watching Rosie tell her Mom that she is retiring in the winner's circle due to "starting a family" was quite a moment. For once it left the pundits speechless! Untapable carried two jockeys apparently......what a filly.!

Re: Rosie goes out with a bang
I had a feeling something was going to happen after watching the post race interview when she had just won. she was tearing up and more emotional than normal she knew it was the last race

Re: Rosie goes out with a bang
I was fortunate to watch her ride in Maryland as an apprentice and work her way into the big league. I bragged on her to my friends, family, and co-workers. I wanted her to be the first woman to ride a Derby winner. Alas I won't get my wish. I know full well she will be an awesome mom...I also see her becoming a trainer in her own right. Best wishes to her and her husband. It was quite a ride Rosie for the past ten years or so. Thank you!
So happy to have met her a few years back at Laurel and get her autograph. Her boots will be hard to fill...

Kudos to Rosie for still making weight pregnant!! However, other women resume their careers post-childbirth, or even a year or two later. I wonder if she will end up missing the stardom and make a comeback?
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
