Why the hell shouldnt a fractious horse be ponied down to the start?? Maybe more wound up t-breds would run their race with a little help.It helps many of them out over here and gives the handlers a break too. I recall in the 80s the wonderful Chief Singer running off down to the start and blowing the punters money. I train several fillies over here that are lost without company before going into the gate and remember the owners are supporting this sport and deserve any chance to let their horses do their best.
