Like your thinking regarding training, Geo. As usual. I liked Big Truck and with Bill's endorsement, it is a no brainer for me. Like Visionaire and Cool Coal Man as well.

Ummm.... anyone for Monba?

Wow there went my chances in RTTR. I might as well have had Web Gem.

Actually I think Pyro could come back and win the Kentucky Derby, it's not like this type of thing hasn't happened before. The word is he hated the Polytrack. Pyro hates the poly, will Colonel John hate the dirt? Will Monba perform on dirt? Will Big Brown like the dirt in his eye? Our handicapping wasn't helped here - just made the Derby a more head scratching affair.

My biggest sadness is that it probably means that for the next two years Pyro has no chance in the Breeders Cup - no 'dirt' races. And so he'll be retired and we won't see him in the BC.

Well, there you go, Sam, Zinn, and Georgerz. Congrats. Hope you're feeling better about your RTTR stable now, Sam.

Why are you including me in that congrats? All of my horses have tanked, badly. Web Gem was just 4th. Pyro was 10th, I've no clue where Visionaire finished. I'm just waiting for Z Fortune and Indian Sun to stink it up so the day is complete.

Sorry, Sam, I thought you had Pletcher this year and must therefore have secured your trainer points on the Bluegrass. Was I wrong about that?

Hey I had Pyro, Visionaire, Miner's Claim, Cool Coal Man and in another stable I had Stone Bird as well as Mott and Zito in one stable and Asmussen and Tagg in another one, so I'm feeling your pain.

Anyway Sam if my congrats were in error I hope I didn't make you feel worse.

Oh well, yeah, TP FINALLY gets me trainer points... I would've rather had the horse points for Pyro or Visionaire ;)

Well at least you avoided the duck egg Sam. I have a number who can screw up for me in Arkansas as well including the much unvaunted King's Silver Son (who actually got me a couple of points in the Rebel) and Z Fortune who is not going to make mine.

Aieeee! Pyro 10th? Egads!

Hmmm, horses for courses and surfaces....what a spin on this year's Triple Crown races which are all on dirt.

LOL!!! Well, John, you know having lived in Scotland, England, Newfoundland, Mainland Canada, and the States, all of which have their own pecularities of dialect, I do sometimes get my eggs mixed up, especially when they're on my FACE!!
