She has won at the highest level from 7 to 9 Furlongs on the turf in Europe and the USA. Does anyone else think that maybe she should try the Classic at the Breeders Cup this year as she has nothing left to prove on the turf and the only thing that could enhance her reputation now is a win on the dirt?
I think this incredible mare has proven all she needs to and just to win again at the mile would be an incredible end to a great career.

I do agree that to win a 3rd mile would be an incredible achievement but I would love to see the best race against the best and given that the best America has are likely to run in the classic it would be great to see her run against them.

Because it is something that she has never done before. Why repeat something when you can try to achieve something that you haven't already. I can understand the temptation to keep her at a mile but if and its a big if I were her owner or trainer I would want to test her in different circumstances and the ultimate would be the BC Classic. Its not as if it would be taking her miles out of her comfort zone. Many "european turf" horses have tried the classic and the horses that have come closest and also won it are those stepping up in trip so in my personal opinion she would have a good chance of doing well in it.

Well there you go, different opinions and each to his/her own. I've run horses over the CD dirt track and while they generally quicken it up for Derby or BC races, it can be a challenge for horses not used to it. If I were her connections I personally wouldn't take her out of her game, but if you wanted to step it up, I would have been more inclined had the BC been running on a poly/whatever track than dirt. Shortly we'll see what her connections have decided what they think is best for her.

I was going to bet SC in the BC Mile, but I personally think that will be asking a lot of SC now. 12 weeks between races is an awfully long time.

at a mile and a 1/4...she gets beat...plain and simple....but she is the queen of the world on the green at her best distance...so why even try...AND THEY WONT. going for the three peat ...and she most likely will do it with style.

sorry but the breeders cup classic is not the spot to change things up and get radical.....good grief.

you better box that.
