JULE BANDIT ch. H, 1999
Jules---Trianera, by Personal Flag

JB is a NFB, Ph over Teddy. JB is Inbred 4 X 4 Hoist the Flag=Rabelais NP outcross----4 X 5 X 5 Tom Rolfe=Rabelais NP outcross---5 X 5 Native Dancer=Ph.

JB has tons of those NP stallions & mares in his 5 generation pedigree, you didnt give credit to JB Inbreeding to those NP stallions, shame on you.

Hoist the Flag was not a sound horse. Inbreeding to a horse with questionable soundness is not a formula for coming up with sound runners.

Each cross of Hoist the Flag brings 3 lines to Phalaris as well. Jule Bandit has in fact 29 total crosses to the Demon Stallion, coming from such Demonic sources as Hail to Reason, Mr Prospector, Buckpasser, and Natalma (including a Hoist the Flag--Natalma cross!).

Instead of pretending that a male-line other than Phalaris is sound, maybe you should more realistically note Demonic influences--the single appearance of Halo, Buckpasser, Bold Ruler, and Natalma in the 5th generation should weigh more heavily than inbreeding 5 X 5 to Native Dancer alone.

You are another person who doesnt give credit to those NP sire line stallions & mares. Without them our soundness has hit rock bottom. Double shame on you.

I don't think they give protection against pneumonia, either. 8)

No, Louis, for me it's just chemistry, polymeric strands of cytosine, guanine, adenine, thymine, phosphate and ribose all spun together, with every generation a fresh roll of the dice and possible combinations. That's why I cannot bestow a whole lot of significance on a stallion foaled 98 years ago.
