My pleasure - I guess not everyone has read about this? (Probably not even JLH! LOL.) Pretty amazing research.
I believe in anything that makes sense - and this one actually made sense to me.... I couldn't believe the simplicity of the theory - but if you think about it, it's very logical and it also explains why larger breasted women have a greater incidence of cancer - their bras are more likely to pinch/restrict blood flow because they have more weight to hold up. A major cause of breast cancer right before our eyes, and we couldn't figure it out.
I don't know think exercise alone is as effective as loose fitting bras or going bra-free. But it probably helps.
Delighted to post the links - I hope all women think about it.
OH come on!!!

I wonder how much of a stir it would have caused to see Brat Pitt, for lack of any other name to come to mind, in the winners circle in a pair of extremely tight fitting jeans. Probably quite a stir, but not the type of commotion JLH seems to have caused on this thread. LOL
I must agree that Hollywood types do cheapen things. Tis the reason I boycott the cinema.

Oh please...
I saw the replay of Jennifer Love Hewitt's appearance last night and thought she was wonderful. Sparkly and effervescent and absolutely thrilled to be at the races. Just the kind of patron that horse racing needs more of.
Her mother's horse had just won a race and she was jumping up and down with excitement. I thought she looked great.

And yes TVG showed it over and over and over on the weekend, with the same panting and irritating enthusiasm.
And my 16 & 20yo sons & 50-something hubby watched it over and over and over - enthusiastically, but I didn't hear any any panting.
To each his own. For some braless is more comfortable - but I don't recommend sitting a fast trot w/out decent support.

A properly fitted bra does not cut off the circulation, any more than properly fitted shoes or properly fitted underwear. An ill-fitting bra is uncomfortable, like ill-fitting shoes, but it in no way will cause random, uncontrollable mutations in the DNA that are cancer and tumors.
Well gosh...I have a problem with the shoe analogy, seeing as how wearing ill-fitting shoes HAS created bunions and neuroma's on my feet. Can't say that I've found those things on my...well... better not go THERE
Louis...stay out of ladies lingerie...unless you like to wear it yourself...best stick to things you have experience with

Streisand, Sarandon and Sean Penn are why I flip the channel everytime a so called "celebrity" comes on the tube. Not to mention Woopie Goldberg, who I used to love

No ... but then they don't do it to 'flatter' women.
It's a base instinct encouraged by lack of maturity/locker room bravado and it transcends age.
To be absolutely fair though, we women do it too ... we just don't do it as loudly or as obnoxiously and men ARE flattered by it. It's projectionism. They are flattered by it and don't understand why we aren't.
I'm on another BBS that is 90% males over the age of 20 with a "featured screenshot" in the upper corner ... at any given moment, that screen shot is some half naked woman smuggling melons in her shirt and a "I have GOT to get me some of that" tagline (never mind the fact that some of these guys couldn't get laid if they crawled up a chicken's butt). If one of the girls dares make a "Grow the hell up, not all of us like looking at T&A all day long" statement, we get shouted down with a puerile "you're just jealous you aren't that hot" statement.
I've started posting revenge crotch shots of really old men in gaping boxers. They seem to be taking the hint.
As for going braless (and yes, I remember the "bras cause cancer" stories from when I was in 6th grade and got the "don't sleep in your bra" horror stories), trust me, when it's 110 outside, I really wish I could. The last few weeks, I'd love to be a member of the itty bitty titty committee.
