Hi Ratherrapid,

Good post giving insight into the practicalities of lasix.

One of the first people I knew at the track was an old man who bet on horses that relieved themselves in the post parade for the same reason you mentioned, "They have to feel better...don't you", he'd say.

Mahubahs' point about dehydration is well taken. I'd imagine that the problem would probably manifest differently from horse to horse leaving it in the hands of the trainer with no specific policy.

So far the industry has been sittin on their hands regarding a coherent medications policy.
