no they don't.. as a FAN.. I want to see the best horses square off. But from a business standpoint, I think it is a smart move.

There's alot of money to be made against straight three year olds yet this year, and stud value to be developed in the process. There is little need to run against older yet. Not that it can't and shouldn' be done, but there are many spots left that still pay out and off...
This track is shit. Not a bad move!

If not for the new surface, this is a great year for a three year old to run against the olders - the Handicap Division has never been weaker. Look at some of the Grade 1 older dirt winners this year - they'd get dusted in most years.

here's the thing however....THIS IS THE EASIEST SPOT OF THEM ALL!!!!

He's not touching Street Sense..a t least not until next year

I would rather run him against an old lava man in the Classic then a young and fresh Curlin, Rags, AGS and Steet Sense 7 days a week.

Supposedly he'll run in either the PA Derby, the Super Derby or the Goodwood. He isn't nominated to the Travers. I can understand the connections being soured on NY and the lovely detention barns.

I hope you werent too busy kicking women out of your house to get a little action. How anyone can pick Student Council to win anything is why this game is so great. Hes a crow, now a grade 1 winner on poly. SC cant outwork 50k claimers at CHD on the dirt. We see a few things, first the best horses arent winning on polytrack, second the racing in California is horrible, third BDW made an excellent pick

1. I kicked the woman out my house monday.. i've been single since so I don't miss anymore action. I have a couple of prospects but I dont' let my betting get in the way.. I made this bet when I woke up this morning.. I had no doubt he would go off at over 10 to 1 so it was pointless for me to wait until the post

Uh... it's called actually getting off your ass and handipping a race instead of listening to what peole had to say

I don't even feel I took a shot. I feel SC was the best horse in the damn race espically wtih Tiago out.

again.. let me recap.. 2nd in the Razorback (a REAL grade 2) to Lawyer ron... lost over keeland, lost over a deep muddy sloppy track on kentucky oats day, lost to brass hat one race back and brass hat broke the damn track record and SC was stride for stride with him.. was bought 2 weeks ago privatly and shipped here for this race.. won 2 races over poly last year.

25 to 1.

I have said it all along.. lava man is a GREAT cal horse.. it's not him shipping.. it's the level of comp he faces when he ships.. an above AVG Classic horse came in and put him in his place. nothing more, nothing less.

SC in the grand scheme of thigns, is a Grade 3/Grade 2 Calibur horse that was spotted perfectly in a Grade 1. that and lava man wasn't completely right. if he was, I might not have bet.

This surface is crap. East Coast outfits should send all their claimers out West - they can dominate racing if they take to the surfaces.

1:14.4 for the 6 furlong split and a G1 field staggers to the wire. But on the bright side....Cali's top ranked trainer won the race.(In percentage of drug violations)

Student Council is a crow. He is routinely outworked at CHD by bad horses. It just shows you what a joke the polytrack is. I understand company lines, I also understand bad horses. This is a mediocre Grade 1 winner at best. It was a nice pick, Cal racing is horrible, but the fact that this horse can win a Grade 1 anywhere in the world is very disheartening.
