The sire of Mine That Bird is Birdstone whose foals average a GSV of 65.52. Since Mine That Bird has a GSV of 72.05, the UP score of Mine That Bird is 6.53 and gets my maximum of 5 points and a final GSV2 score of 77.05.

George:

Thanks for the explanations. Are the values in our database incorrrect or just need updating? I was operating off of the info here:
http://www.pedigreequery.com/mine+the+bird

Our info has a gsv of 58.80. When and how was this done even if the info is outdated currently

Many of the Conduit Mare numbers are also incorrect. I don't believe they have been updated for at least two years (probably 3 years), even though I send in the updates and changes annually.

I think when we look at numbers, we need to always remember that they tell us what should or might be. They consider averages and possibilities. Once a mare is bred, to me, the numbers have done their job until the next choice of mate is to be made. Class is as much environment as it is genetics. "Another Crazy Roger Generalization"

I'm unsure whose job it is to make changes in GSV and Conduit Mare Profiles but Bill has, on many occasions, requested that they be changed. So, where is the ball being dropped? Moderators?

As far as I know, only the webmaster has that ability. The research group does not have access, and the board moderators only handle the message board.

I'd reccommend contacting the webmaster through the link on the front page....I know other folks have tried this already, but you know what they say about squeaky wheels.

Dear Bill;

What is the other site, (other than here and Tessio) that uses your conduit numbers?

Thank you,

Shergar

Hi: My numbers have not been updated since 2005, hence many of the new young sires get default values at stud because they only recently got there and the older sires values are not correct but some are in the same ball park if nothing much has changed

best, George
