My sister and I loved Ruler On Ice in the one race that we bet on him and he almost won, so we had to put money on him since we couldnt get ihim in the Derby :) Then I put Stay thirsty for the ped and the thought that he has done pretty crappy the last few outs so his time has got to be coming. what a payout for a 2$ bet, wish I had put it all on them instead of spreading it around the field :D Lots of dog food money just the same!!

You may already have found out that Gomez wanted to stay with the Euro style...no pony...not that it would have mattered...it was insane to think MoH would run well after all the traveling he's done...I couldn't beleive so many folks were on him...

I was out in the deluge, thinking, "This is going to change the outcome of the race."

Gomez was evidently indicating he wanted to break his horse from the parade. He did look really agitated.

Nice call!

Just goes to show that Voegele's old admonition to skip races when the track is off, was (is) good advice.

Congrats to Ruller On Ice, but the horse couldn't even win a listed stakes a month ago, and now he's a Grade 1 winner.

This is an excellent example of where more information needs to be disemminated to the betting public. Who knew about this horse's blood counts? I heard nothing until after the race. That's akin to "insider trading" on the stock market, in my opinion.

(I had the #3 live in two Doubles, by the way).

I have to thank Bill From Wa for posting his numbers. I used some of the horses he picked, along with horses who had previously raced on a sloppy track in an exacta box.

I must admit I was pretty shocked when the race ended. I had to take a couple of looks at the ticket to make sure I had really gotten it!

I also put an across the board bet on Stay Thirsty because he goes back to Masda, Man o' War's full sister, and that was a nice pay out as well.

So, thanks Bill!

Congratulations on your payday. Now, I wish I had followed your logic. Well done.
