The Borel factor. lol.

I know his odds will drop but since I am not betting, it doesn't matter. I will still be rooting for him because of his parents and not Borel.
I am also rooting for Alpha for other sentimental reasons.

if it rains that will probably be the straw that broke the camel's back to get me to flip to gemologist.

Who's the mudder in the field? I 'won' big in the Belmont by going with Ruler on Ice.
Somebody bet on the gray!

With Beyer giving Bodemeister the kiss of death and picking him to win the Derby it is hard to stay with the horse, however, if he repeats his Arkansas Derby form he will be hard to deny. I think Union Rags is ready and will get the Roses. I think Hansen will take them as fast and as far as he can go for 1 and 1/16th but that leaves a lot of racing to do. It looks to be a perfect setup for a stalker or a late running closer. My bet will be the superfecta keying Union Rags, Daddy Knows Best and Gemologist with Bodemeister, Hansen, Dullahan, Creative Cause and Went The Day Well. Good luck to all.

Creative Cause lost a shoe shipping in, along with a good chunk of hoof. They can epoxy that up but I think it is a showstopper for him.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

My top pick is Union Rags. I think Matz will have him ready to show his best on Sat.

My longshot horse is Optimizer, especially if the pace is hot, which it looks to be.

this field is one thats going to be all bunched together 'comin' round the turn', it seems this year. Especially if it rains/or have a muddy/wet track. We might see another year of Mine That Bird type finish.

Would be cool to see Rags win it just for Michael Matz, after what happened to poor Barbaro, but I don't know if he can get the distance???? He sure is a fine looking colt though.

I think its going to be a longshot, don't know who as I've not paid much attn. to all of them so far. Will be watching tomorrow though!

Good luck to you all

I agree. Also Harrington just seems uncomfortable with the whole Derby trail doings..

after sleeping on this i'm not going to out think myself. I love creative cause. i would rather wager on him and him not lose than not wager on him and him win. My hope / thinking is that he has been so careful with the horse so far if he was not 100"% sure he was going to run his race he will scratch him and just point him to the preakness.

them running a horse that is not going to run his best does not fit the MO for this horse / trainer so far. lol if i keep telling myself that hopefully it will be true

Take charge indy is getting hammered in the early wagering

I'll have another right now is 18 to 1. he easily ran the best prep race of all the horses last time out went wide and beat a grade 1 winner on the square. if he is around there he might get my money for the value play

I don't have a favorite this year.
I'll pick 13 ,3, 1 to win if muddy.
Love seeing Borel covered in mud at end of race with that grin.
13,14,11,1,7,3 combo all them in ex or tri.
And may get beat by Bob.
Hate it when he has two horses in same race.
Good luck to all & may they all have a safe trip.

Union Rags - El Padrino - Dullahan.

Time for a 6 horse tri box though....
