My opinion IS that there won't be a full 20 entered at this point and there sure as hell won't be 20 when the gates open.

Bye Bye Mister Triester...Hello Flashy Bull @ # 20. Trainer doesn't want to send Mr. Triester but leaves it up to the owner.

Like I said in the other thread yesterday, I was and am fully able to admit when I am wrong. I really didn't think the race was going to be oversubscribed.

I AM surprised that Hemingway's Keys was one of the ones kicked out. You know, they have medications for people suffering from those kinds of delusions. I still can't believe they are running Showing Up, Private Vow and Bluegrass Cat.

Oddly enough, on The Works which is showing on Fox Sports today and tomorrow at 11am EST, Gary Stevens was looking at Bluegrass Cat's work and saying he'd written him off before but now he's totally back on the list after his last work. Go figure. I have no idea. There was an article on Barclay Tagg and how Showing Up wouldn't be entered by Barclay if there wasn't something extra-ordinary about him inspite of the lack of seasoning. I hope he comes out of it to do well in other races so if he wins, it's a bonus. Too nice a horse to ruin him so I hope Barclay's instincts are right.

I too was shocked about Hemingway's Key even being entered in the first place. I guess Zito figured what the hay. Maybe he knew he wouldn't make it but wanted to be in the draw for the field just so he wasn't left out. Several 50-1s and 30-1s in there. Kinda weird since this is such a high overall quality field compared to some years. Most will come down a bit I'd imagine. I think I'd get a giggle if someone had a future wager on one of these horses that ended up being a lower price than he goes off at.
